Capri's First Party

Capri had a Ladybug Birthday Party. It was so cute and fun!

Yup, you have a bow up there. Leave it alone!
Awww, Mom!
There is my cutie!
I made her this little dress, but I altered the pattern and it was almost too small to wear. Oops! Later, I added red ties and uncrossed the back so she can wear it as a shirt. Much better! (because it took a long time and is too cute to wear once!)
Ladybug crackers, cute and tasty!
We also snacked on caterpillar grapes, peanut butter and apple butterflies and cream cheese and strawberry heart sandwiches.
We made bug antennae with headbands and pipe cleaners. Rome was "Hopper" from Bugs Life.
We played pin the dots on the ladybug. (yea, I made that too!)
Rome liked it. Look I did it!
Capri wasn't a fan of the antennae.

Capri's little cake. Really the only one we ate at the party because we only had one guest and they didn't eat cake. So, we just split this one. Capri couldn't have eaten it all anyway.
The balloons with Rome.

The balloons on the move, more often than not.

Decorations

The real cake. The lady said she could make cute ladybugs with chocolate frosting. Yea, this is what I got. Oh well, at least they are reusable. For future reference, I am never buying a whole sheet cake again. Cupcakes are just as tasty and easier to give away.

October Overload

So, October got lost in the hustle. We did lots of fun stuff.

We got into trouble

And broke stuff.

We cuddled.

Slept on tables.

Wore fuzzy shoes.

Got into everything.

Walked through a corn maze or two.

Played with pumpkins.

Rode a pony. Rome was SOOO excited!

Wore cute clothes

And cool costumes.
Rome is Go Fast-Lightening McQueen and Capri is the Piston Cup Trophy.

We had a party, of which I took terrible pictures.

Josh was Ricky Bobby, I was the Trophy Wife. Get it? I know we are so witty.

We went Trick-or-Treating.

Got lots of candy and had so much fun!

Baby Tea Party

I did not need another baby shower, but I did want a party with my friends. It was getting pretty late, so I decided to do it myself. And so, I did. A Baby Tea Party. I told everyone they didn't need to bring presents, but of course they did anyway. It was so nice and so much fun! Everyone brought a treat to share and we sat around and ate and talked about babies and labor and parenting. It was exactly what I wanted. As a bonus, it totally got me through week 39 of being pregnant. Something to look forward to besides waiting....

The brownie hearts I made. I also made punch and heart shaped ice-cubes. What can I say, I like a theme.

The guests

Rome helping with presents

He had fun too running back and forth between Trish and Penny

The gifts that I didn't need, but appreciate anyway. A girl cannot have too many pink outfits or cute shoes!

Crazy Weekend

Thanksgiving Weekend was super crazy for us. Well, I planned most of it and filled it to the tipy-top with activities and parties. Here are the plethora of pictures of what we did.

My Birthday Dinner, too bad I didn't get a picture of the Manicotti, well it was stuffed shells, but it was delicious! I turned the brownie into a delicious sundae too, Yum!
First Thanksgiving

The tree for one of the many activities I had planned, Jen and her prize for winning a game
We made ornaments too, why didn't I take a pic of that?

The Cooks, Waiting to eat
Second Thanksgiving

I didn't get any pictures because it was so crazy (and I was a bit tired after all of those family activities). I did get Rome trying out the whip cream and then bedtime stories with Grandma.

Where Rome slept (top bunk) Poor Daddy! Turkey Day leftovers are funny!
Ladybug Shower

The super cute cake made by Clare; Me and Lace eating cake

Painting Bibs, My good friend Amber (who made the gorgeous green and cream crochet blanket)

The gifts, So many cute pink things!

The beautiful bibs, Seriously we had some artists!
The quilt from Great Grandma Thomas
Temple Time
I should have turned sideways or something, I look so big here!
I also went to the Twilight movie New Moon with my sister and best friend and her sister and friend. It was soo good! The first one was okay, but the second was way better. I am not normally a fan of Man-Candy, but I have to admit I was impressed and there was some girly giggling going on. Even from me. Whoo! Then we went out to lunch and it was so much fun! I love girl's night, or day!
