March 2011

These pics are all I have of March since our computer crashed in July and took all my pics with it. Sad. The next few months are even worse.
I made cookies with Rome. He loved it.

Then he wouldn't leave them alone.
And he crashed for a nap after.
Capri tried to get out of her jammies.
Capri loves books. Done with that one.

Next. Mom, leave me alone.
Yummy cottage cheese, everywhere.

The kids' new game. Put every toy in the kitchen and crash into it with the scooter.

They did pretty well taking turns pushing each other.
Capri learned to push the step stool around the kitchen to walk.
I started doing school time with Rome to keep from going crazy stuck inside. He had so much fun and did so well. This was the alphabet box. We put a letter in there and went around the house looking for things that started with that letter. I had way more pics of this that got lost. At least one got saved.
Playing with Daddy.
Rome being a "pirate." I think it had something to do with their eye patch, like they only had one eye, but really I don't know. He just came up with it. I tried to tell him it was a robot, but no, he is a pirate.
Capri would kick off the top and rock on it like it would just "go." Silly girl.
Look at those cute buns!

Chees'n it up!

Capri's First Party

Capri had a Ladybug Birthday Party. It was so cute and fun!

Yup, you have a bow up there. Leave it alone!
Awww, Mom!
There is my cutie!
I made her this little dress, but I altered the pattern and it was almost too small to wear. Oops! Later, I added red ties and uncrossed the back so she can wear it as a shirt. Much better! (because it took a long time and is too cute to wear once!)
Ladybug crackers, cute and tasty!
We also snacked on caterpillar grapes, peanut butter and apple butterflies and cream cheese and strawberry heart sandwiches.
We made bug antennae with headbands and pipe cleaners. Rome was "Hopper" from Bugs Life.
We played pin the dots on the ladybug. (yea, I made that too!)
Rome liked it. Look I did it!
Capri wasn't a fan of the antennae.

Capri's little cake. Really the only one we ate at the party because we only had one guest and they didn't eat cake. So, we just split this one. Capri couldn't have eaten it all anyway.
The balloons with Rome.

The balloons on the move, more often than not.

Decorations

The real cake. The lady said she could make cute ladybugs with chocolate frosting. Yea, this is what I got. Oh well, at least they are reusable. For future reference, I am never buying a whole sheet cake again. Cupcakes are just as tasty and easier to give away.

Feb 2011

We started out Feb. by going to Denver for a wedding.
Capri had super cute pigges with bows! (the pic is terrible and they didn't even last 2 minutes)
We went to the aquarium there.
Got to touch the stingrays.
The kids got free airbrush tattoos. Capri's is a ladybug with sparkles.
Rome got a race car, Light'a'queen of course.
This freaked him out.
We looked pretty hot. (weddings are not made for children, seriously)
I made Valentine's for Grandmas, Aunts and Uncles.
They even popped-up!
My Valentine's clearance flowers. (Really, its what I asked for)
Capri had some awesome hair.
I let her have a spoon and she loved it!
She made this face for every bite. So cute!

Look, a spoon!

Pretty cool.
Help me out of here!
Because Brother tried to bury me in toys while I was sleeping!
Rome fell asleep early-once. We were having a hard time getting him to go to bed, so I had to take a pic.
We got to have a night away at a fancy resort outside of Moab. My parents came down and watched the kids for us. It was so nice! These are the super fancy front doors.
It had a really cool stone bird house out front.
The geese outside of our little cabin.
The view from our deck.
Right out of our window. Really!
Mmm, dessert!

It was nice to get away, even for a night. The only problem was I brought clothes to dress up (not warm) and all the buildings were separated by a long ways. So, you had to walk from your cabin to the main building for dinner and breakfast and it was freezing!

Snowy Day

We got some snow and Daddy went out to shovel. Rome had to help and make a snowman!
Rome "helping." What is this stuff?
I got some!
Making it. Look at my snowman Mom!
