Just Practicing

We recently had a little scare. Yesterday night at 10 pm I started having contractions. I was a bit concerned because it is a little early. I stayed up until 11:30 and they kept up about every 20 minutes. Josh didn't really believe me, even though he felt one. They didn't last very long or hurt a lot so he convinced me I should go to sleep. I woke up a couple of times and they were still there and then I could not go back to sleep. I was worried because it is too early and they do make you uncomfortable. So, in the morning they were still happening, but not any worse. I was starting to hurt other places though and I was worn out. I called my doctor and she told me to go to the hospital and have them check me out. I got dressed and drove to the hospital where they hooked me up on all of the monitors. I layed in bed and... nothing. They stopped and I just took a two hour nap. My mom said it was just practice. Josh said he was worried, but he stayed so calm. He says I tend to freak out, but I was grateful for his cool head and I had no idea he was worried! I say in the next two weeks, no more practice please!

Hi Jo! Welcome to blogging! Your preggie picture on the side is so cute...aww, pregnant Jocie!! I'm glad you could practice having contractions and going to the doctor. Well not really. Hopefully it won't happen anymore...

JO, I'm so happy to see you in "our" world. Don't worry, it's not too early for the baby yet. Abby was due May 14 and came April 25- so once you hit that 37 weeks mark you're good to go. That's a just a few more days. I'm sure pretty soon you'll want that baby anyway! Love you!

I had contractions nearly the WHOLE time I was pregnant with my second. That was lots of fun. But you're nearly there (about two more weeks, right?), so I'd be praying for those contractions to pick up!! And I promise, well not promise but it's very likely you'll be able to tell when the real ones come because they hurt. A LOT. And they last longer then the Braxton Hicks. So, good luck! Hope that baby comes soon!

PS: I remember you being sick in HS! Very vaguely but I remember it now that you mention it! It's crazy how many people have that! I'm hoping to get my tonsils out in the fall. It seems like all the sudden they've gotten worse and I've felt worse!
