Springy

Last week was soo warm and nice! Okay it is closer to 2 weeks ago. Anyway, I came home from my trip to these flowers. My favorite!

We played outside and tested out the backyard. Well, the rocks.

Hi Doggies!

I took Rome to the park to try out the swings. He loved them!
He kept trying to lay down. Silly boy!

I tried to take some better 10 month pics, but it didn't really work.
That is what you get with a mobile baby.

He ended up swimming in the masses of toys. What fun!

It was so warm I even got out some of Rome's summer outfits.
Stinky March snowing on us again. That is not nice.

The Difference Between Dogs and Babies

Babies figure out that the dog gate is not attached at the bottom (because you lost 2 of the hooks) and get into the kitchen. Dogs sit happily in the kitchen with the unattached gate.

Dogs scatter wet grass all over your clean* kitchen floor because you let them go outside. Babies laugh and try to eat the grass. Gross!

Dogs smell stinky and musty when they are wet. Babies smell sweet when they are wet, well, after a bath anyway.

Babies smell like wet dogs when they are attacked, I mean loved by the dogs that went outside. Dogs are confused when you yell at them for loving the baby. What? You mean you don't want me to lick his entire face? You sure? I could try it again in 30 seconds...

Dogs eat all of the baby's snack when they are let into the living room by the escaping baby. Babies don't care, they like to share snacks with the dogs anyway. It is funny. Wait, isn't that why the dogs went outside?

Dogs think when I say "snack" that it includes them. Babies think that if you are eating then they should be too. Hey, didn't I get you your own snack? Oh yea, the dogs ate it. I didn't need all of my snack anyway.

Babies think that the gate to their room is the best toy. They go in and out and in and out and in.... Dogs think it looks like fun... Stinking dogs. Tell Baby, the gate was to keep the dogs out.

Mom thinks isn't it nap time yet?

I am Addicted...

...to grocery sales. I love to buy things when they have a good sale. I was looking at Misty's pics of all that she had bought with her genius coupon skills. Then, I looked at what I had. I can't say I saved as much as her, but most of it was on sale. If we ever need to really use our food storage we will definitely will not starve. I really need to re-evaluate our food storage needs.
Inside freezer for baby food, veggies, fruit, small items, treats

Inside pantry. Top shelf for snacks, cereal and drinks. Second shelf for dinner items, pasta, sauce mixes, rice, potatoes, etc. Third shelf for baking items(my fav), flour, quick mix, brownie and cake mixes, sugar, peanut butter, etc. Fourth shelf for cans, veggies, fruit, beans, tomato sauce, home canned items.

Outside freezer for meat (chicken, pork, beef, fish) cheese (shredded and sliced) bread and other stuff that doesn't fit inside. I seriously love this freezer from my mom!

Outside shelves filled with paper products and boxes of food. You cannot see all of the stuff I have stuffed on this shelf. Cereal, pasta, mac and cheese, katsup, cookie mixes and more.

These are the official food storage cans. Organized of course. I really need to use most of it. It is mostly from Tucson and is getting kinda old. Anybody need oats?

Spring Break

I don't go to school anymore, but I decided that I wanted to take a spring break. I was going to spend a week in SLC seeing friends and family and doing whatever I wanted. Josh didn't like the idea, but he had to stay home and work. Sorry Honey.

This is how the trip started. I thought Rome was playing all quiet, turns out the bathroom door was open and he found the toilet paper. Notice it trailing from the bathroom, and he tried to bring it into his room. What a kid.

We ate at Boca De Pepo (I think that is what it is called), it was a very interesting place to eat. Rome needed his own plate. He ate tons and tons of bread, he should have popped!

We saw Angela and Dayton and played with her cool bus. After, Josh, Rene and Ray went to see Watchmen and Lyndsey and I saw Confessions of a Shopaholic. It was Sooo Good! I seriously laughed my head off!

We went to Andre's Surprise 40th Birthday party. It was crazy fun! Josh and Lyndsey with Cousin E

We saw the Suarez's, We went to the dueling piano bar Keys on Main and it was a blast!

Played with Chase, Tried to play with Happy, but he would not have it. Rome just loves dogs!

Rome played with Grandma's toys and ate dirt and would NOT spit it out or drink water. What a boy.

Rome liked the cupboards and playing with Grandpa

Rome tried french fries and played with Malcolm

I visited with Lace, Oh so nice! and we visited Gigi Johnson in the care center

I went dancing with Cam and got blisters, but it was worth it. Thanks Cam!
Rome gave Amber hugs! How sweet!
Made Ty a birthday cake, but it didn't work out right. Oh well. Happy 16th Ty!

Visited GG Thomas and got a ride on G-Grampa's scooter
I got to see Adri and her cute baby AND Autumn and Jaley came up to visit too! We stayed up ALL night talking and laughing. Lucky we don't do that too often, but it was fun
Lastly we ate pancakes with Aunt Jenny.
What a great trip! I even got to do a little shopping. Whoo hoo!

Today's Favorite

We are not feeling so hot at our house today. Josh got the bug that Rome had and woke up to rush to the bathroom and throw up. I don't have it so bad. I have not lost my lunch or dinner, but I don't feel well either. I think it helped that I didn't eat very much, just in case.
This was my favorite thing. Decaf Chai tea (no caffeine for baby) I add some milk (rice milk until Rome is done nursing) and a little chocolate syrup. Mmmm... so tasty! My tummy feels better for a good half an hour. Now, if I could just convince Rome that Mommy doesn't feel good and he should not hang on her all day long. Yea, that would be nice.

Shakers

Rome found these shakers in his toys and really likes them. He crawls around with one in each hand and stops to shake one and then the other and then both. It is pretty funny!

Look Mom!, Want some?

Oh, and it got hot so Rome got naked. He didn't seem to mind.
