28 Weeks

Yea, this was 2 weeks ago. I thought you needed an update. I am still not very big, but I definitely feel full ALL day long. I also wish that little sister would decide to be head down and not kick my sensitive parts all day. It hurts little girl!

Seriously, clothes don't do it justice.

Toddler Times

Rome has been having so much fun lately. He is getting to be quite a handful. He is learning new words and tricks everyday. He definitely keeps me on my toes. He can run through the house yelling "Mama." Yea, Thanks Daddy. He can open doors and likes to close them behind him. He will play in his room alone with the door closed and close it if you come in to check on him. He also likes to let the dogs out into the backyard and then chase them around. I have to keep the back door locked now. Yesterday, after getting out some Christmas decorations, he learned how to say "Santa." It sounds like "tanta," but it is so cute! He stands on his step stool (that he uses for a chair) and says "go" and then steps off and usually falls down. He thinks it is really funny. He is such a fun little boy. He is so happy, and (as long as I can get him to take a nap) not very whiny. Now, if we can just figure out how to get rid of the binky before his little sister shows up.

Playing in Mom's shoes, He loves shoes

Wearing a cool hat from Grandma, He loves hats

You put it on your head, He is pointing to the hat

This is how I found him this morning. He has figured out how to get his pajamas off and half of the time we find him naked. He also put his blocks next to his crib so he could play with them when he woke up. He loves playing with his blocks. What a smartie pants.

Blankie Baby

Rome has been dragging his chosen blankie around everywhere lately. I don't mind so much except it is huge and has been cleaning my floors. Gross! So, I decided to make him a smaller version. I don't think he will mind because it once got left at Grandma's house for 2 weeks and he didn't care. He just likes the ties on it. So, I went to the fabric store and found some fabric that was similar. White with baby and animal print and blue for the back. I got 1/2 a yard and it was perfect to make 2 stroller (or draggable) size blankets. I actually did the whole thing in a little over an hour for one blanket. Pinned, sewed, turned, tied, finished. I don't really know how to finish a blanket so I just turned it under and top stitched it twice on the end. I think they turned out so cute! I washed them so the ties are frayed already, but Rome doesn't care. I had to hide his big blankie because he wanted to tote both of them around. Also, I have a cousin who is having a baby boy, so I can give her the other little blankie. Perfect!

The first one for Rome

The second one, I did the ties different and I think it looks better.

With Daddy and blankie eating breakfast
I think he likes it.

Short Cuts

I got my hair done and cut. I don't know if I really like it. I was excited and a lot scared to get it done because I don't do hair and short hair needs work. I think it turned out okay. I just need to get used to it for a while. Josh hates it, but he hates me with short hair, so not a shocker.

Sleek and Sassy from the salon

What it looks like the rest of the time
At least Rome doesn't care.

Red Gloves

I got Rome some gloves because he always wants to play outside and it is getting a little cold. He loves them! I should have gotten mittens, but oh well. He wanted them on one day and then he went and ran around outside. It was so cute!

Halloween Happenings

Ok, so I am getting behind. Here is what we did for Halloween.
Three weeks ago we went up to SLC and got to see our friend Angela. She invited us to a party she was going to. It was pretty fun and probably the craziest party I have ever been to. Don't worry, It was still pretty tame.

Our Costumes. Josh and I fit in because it was a pirate party!
The next weekend was Halloween. We went up to SLC again.

The boys sleeping through their movie. I totally did not take this while driving. That would be unsafe and you can't prove it.
We got to go to a Basketball game with Cory and Angela.

We were so close and it was so much fun! I did find out that those stadium stairs are steep. I had to go slow and was a bit out of breath at the top. I am feeling a bit pregnant now.
The next night Josh went to the Utah Football game and I took Rome to a party with Lacey.

A Pirate and her parrot. On our way to the party. Rome kept pulling off the hat and then trying to put it back on. He was such a cute parrot! (Thanks to Valarie for letting him borrow your cute costume!) The party was so fun. Rome played with the other kids. We ate great food, played Halloween games and then went Trick-or-Treating. It was quite the experience. The other kids were a bit older and kind of ran Rome over. I picked him up and ran into a sticker bush. So the entire back of my skirt was covered with pokey burrs. Ouch! Rome was tired and had a fit when we stopped walking with the other kids to fix my skirt. So, we went back to the car. I changed into some jeans (so glad I thought to bring them!) and Rome into his Jammies (thanks Grandma for telling me to take them). Rome crawled into his car seat, grabbed his snacks and pointed to the movie. He was done! It was really fun though! I even got to eat an Eyeball cake on a fork! So Gross and Yummy! Thanks for inviting us Lace! I will have to get the other cute pics from her later.
