I have a secret Mom crush on this lady. Especially her stuff on motherhood. Perhaps she reminds me of my own family growing up. 5 kids, lots of brothers, crazy house, yea maybe. She is a sister of one of my old roommates. I have actually met her once, but I am sure she doesn't know much of me. That's okay. We can just keep my crush a secret.
I loved this post she did. I think it is because I am so impatient to get to the next stage. I keep going and doing and feel like I get nothing done. Right now just getting a shower is good day and sometimes is the only thing that gets done. I know, I know, Capri is only a month old. Still so small and I feel like I am missing her growing up already! I WANT to be treasuring all the little things that I get to do and both kids being small. But, I want some more sleep too. I hope I get the camera out tomorrow and don't miss it all. Anyway, I just love what Jen has to say about it.

How To
Today's Lesson:
How To Make Brownies That You Don't Eat
This is a very important lesson for all of us chocoholics out there.
First pick a brownie mix from your garage that has been out there all summer and the chocolate chips in it crumble upon mixing.
Second use the high altitude directions that have LESS liquid than the regular directions and require MORE mixing that helps to further pulverize the chocolate.
Third cook for slightly longer than you are supposed to making a nice chewy texture right out of the oven.
Fourth store in a slightly less-than-air-tight container making them just a bit dry.
Follow these directions and you will have some wonderful brownies that look delicious, smell chocolatey and will not come out of the pan to be consumed. Perfect.
Guess I didn't need to eat brownies after all.

1 Month Old
I can't believe it has already been a whole month! After I got over being tired all day long, and the allergic reaction to the antibiotics in the hospital (1 week after delivery I had 24 hours of flu like symptoms and then a fever, made for a really bad day), I felt so good. Really, almost normal. I am a little impatient to fit into my old jeans because everything else feels so good. I am still having back problems and am going to physical therapy for it, but it is getting better slowly. I really am amazed at how well Capri fits into our family. Like she was here the whole time. Makes me feel good that we decided to have a baby now. I am still getting used to the whole baby crying and how to deal with her, but I love having her here! Josh is such a big help too. He holds her and rocks her and even gets up in the night when I can't get her back to sleep. He doesn't do diapers, but everything else totally makes up for it. He plays with Rome and helps with dinner and is always asking how he can help. I feel on top of things, but it is so nice to know that he is willing to help whenever I need it. Here are some pictures of the last month.
My Valentine's Day, Sushi, Yum! And, Yes, Josh got me flowers. Amazing.
1 week old, playing with Daddy (this outfit has a ruffle bum too, so cute!)
2 weeks old, Rome looks huge!
All Bundled up, she loves it!
This is the car seat cover that Clare made for me. It really comes in handy keeping the cold breeze off the baby. It even kinda matches my car seat. Thanks Clare!
This is the car seat cover I had made. I picked out the fabric and a lady made it for me. I love it! It is so bright and girly. I can't wait for it to be warm so everybody can see it.
I could not wait to get this swing. I love it! She does not. She prefers to be held and only stays in the swing if she is asleep first. Maybe she will grow into it. At least it is tall enough that Rome can't climb in.
What a cute outfit! The shoes are huge and the tights just kill me! With Rome, Gramma and Papa Perotti
A Cutie, A brother with an evil grin. He 'helps' me change her all the time.
What a face, Laundry day. She spit up or pooped on all of her clothes and I had to get out a 3 month outfit so I could do laundry. It looks so cute and huge on her! Rome was in newborn size for like a week so I just love having a little baby. I even had to go buy a few outfits so she would have more than one thing that fit.
