So we had Rome's baby blessing when he was a month old on Father's Day. It was perfect! My whole family came down, including Dan and Clare from New York And all Grandparents (I guess they are Greats now). My ward just split so there was a new ward, a new building (20 minutes away) and a new bishop. But it all turned out well. My dad did the Blessing and then Josh held Rome up REALLY high so everyone could see him. It was so cute! After church we took a family picture and then went back to our house for some great food provided by Josh's sister Alexa who came to visit too. It was delicious, Thanks Alexa! Josh's mom found his outfit that was just adorable. If you can't tell it is a little white tuxedo jumpsuit with shiny lapels and a bowtie. Thanks Suzi! He was so good the whole time and we were glad everyone could come down to share this with us.
The whole family (well my side)
Hes a happy boy!
What a sad face!

Ross Rants
So a little while ago I needed to go shopping. I have lost 30 of the 50 lbs I gained, but still do not fit into my regular clothes. All of the maternity clothes I have are for winter and it is warming up here. Anyway, I needed to buy some pants that would fit so I could leave the house in something other than pajamas. Josh watched the baby for 2 hours and I went to Ross and found 2 pairs of capris and 1 pair of jean shorts AND I went grocery shopping. It was amazing! (Josh said Rome cried the entire time) Well, I tried to wear one of the pairs of capris and they smelled very strongly of smoke, so I had to wash them. I wore the other pair and the seam in the crotch came unsewn, which I found while I was sitting in my car and saw my underwear through the big hole. I wore the shorts and they have a regular button (not a jeans button) that is barely hanging on by one thread. I wore the first pair of capris after they were washed and a button on the back pocket completely ripped out leaving a big hole.
I know that Ross is a discount store and I can usually find pretty good stuff in there.
HOWEVER, this is ridiculous!

Goodbye Grandpa
So, my Grandpa Johnson has not been doing very well the last couple of years. He started getting sick and just gave up. It was very sad to hear him say that he was done. This last week my mom and her siblings have decided to let him go. He was taken off of all of the medicine keeping him alive and they are just going to make him comfortable. They expect that he will not last until next week. I wondered if I should go up to SLC to say goodbye, but he isn't there anymore. It has been hard enough seeing him get so sick and out of it. I talked to him on the phone and he didn't know who I was.
The Grandpa I knew was always grumpy. He would just as soon swear at you as talk to you. He would tease me about my boyfriend in Magna from the time I took the bus going the wrong way to go to piano lessons. I had to call him and ask how to get back. I have never lived it down. He used to call me Josephine, which I would complain every time is not my name. Him and Grandma were always fighting, mostly about nothing. I learned that yelling is a good form of loving communication. He would yell at me for giving away Every smashed cheese sandwich that he made just for me. He took care of me every time I got sick and had to stay at his house, which was a lot. One year I missed a good month of school and spent every day with him. He fed me hot chocolate and popsicles for my sore throat all day long. When I was 12 he saved my life from a push pop I accidentally swallowed whole. He always accused me of forgetting to come back and give him a hug when we would come over. I would never forget. I will never forget. I love you Grumpy Grandpa.
Grandpa Johnson passed away the next morning.

Seven Things I Want
From Annie
1. A REALLY good 4 hour nap at any time during a 24 hour period
2. A shower without a crying baby at the end
3. A meal with vegetables (Josh highly dislikes them) that I do not have to cook
4. A baby that is not sick and stays clean and dry for more than a couple hours (its lucky I have tons of blankets and onesies)
5. To fit into my regular clothes so I have more to wear than 3 pairs of pants and really old t-shirts
6. The flowers in my front garden to not die because they look so pretty and make me happy (water helps when I can get out here, which is not often)
7. Something that resembles a schedule
Extra: A perfect memory so I won't forget my little guy being so little and perfect.
