My Bless-sed Opinion

So, there is this blog that I saw on a couple different blogs. Also, I read about it on Mormon Mommy Blogs. It is called Seriously So Blessed. When I first read it I was shocked! I could not believe that this person was saying those things. I understood all of the mormon references and what they meant with the "teen speak" but I didn't think it was funny. In subsequent visits I did see the list of referrals to the blog and how it was a spoof and funny and a joke. Anyway, I pointed it out to Josh because I was so appaled by the language. Not just the mormonizations. Just the text/shortened/teen speak. I heartily disliked it all . I even wrote a message to Lacey about it. I still have the opinion that if that is how people want to talk now, then I am officially OLD and I LIKE IT. But that is just my Bless-sed Opinion.

I found the blog too and have wanted to take it off my list. I know it is a spoof, but I don't like the idea of joking about such sacred things. They mean too much to me to joke about.
I also don't think I am old in language either... I bet the author is older than me! I know I am not perfect in language, but I like when people are literate. Thank you for thinking the same!

I have heard about this blog too and I thought it was awful! I think it is sad that there is someone out there that just wastes their time 'making light'... no matter if it is all in good fun. I am officially old too and I love it!

When I first got to that blog I didn't get it for awhile, but when I figured out it was a spoof I thought it was REALLY funny. But then I went back a couple more times to see what else was there and it started to bug me too...lots of things about it. I had a link to it on my blog for like...a day or two, then I took it off.

I have a lot of peeves about language these days. Sometimes when Jeff's teenage brother texts me I can barely read it! And most people, even college educated people, don't bother to use capitalization or punctuation anymore. What's up with that?
